I registered a trademark. I typed the patent office on the map application and registered my trademark in a good place. It is now applied and registered a year later. Even if it's applied, it can be rejected.

저는 상표등록을 했어요. 지도 어플에 특허사무소를 쳐서 괜찮을 곳에서 했어요. 지금은 출원상태이고 1년 뒤에 등록이 되어요. 출원되어도 거절이 될 수 있다고 해요.

I registered a trademark to avoid price competition and top exposure competition on an online shopping site like an Amazon when selling products online. For example, if I register the mouse brand "AABBCC" and sell "AABBCC White Mouse" to an online shopping site, I will have a trademark right for the product name "AABBCC White Mouse."

온라인에서 제품을 팔 때 가격경쟁과 상위노출 경쟁을 조금이라도 피해 볼 수 있을까 해서 상표등록을 했어요. 예를 들어 "AABBCC"라는 마우스 상표를 등록해서 "AABBCC 화이트 마우스"를 온라인 쇼핑몰에 판매를 하면 "AABBCC 화이트 마우스"의 상품명에 대해서 저는 상표권을 가지게 돼요.

This way, when I'm trademarking AABBCC and selling "AABBCC White Mouse," if someone else is selling a mouse named "AABBCC Bluetooth Mouse" on an online shopping site, I can claim the trademark. For that reason, products of Korean brands can be sanctioned when selling products using the brand name in Korea.

이렇게 하면 제가 AABBCC를 상표등록하고 "AABBCC 화이트 마우스"를 판매하고 있을 때, 다른 사람이 "AABBCC 블루투스 마우스"라고 상품명을 지어서 판다면 제가 상표권을 주장할 수 있어요. 그런 이유로 한국 브랜드의 제품은 한국에서 그 브랜드 이름을 사용해서 제품을 팔 때 제재를 받을 수 있어요. 

When registering the trademark, if you only sell chairs, you should set up chairs, and if you sell bags, you should set up bags. You have to pay for trademark registration per a type. Each of them will be registered. But if you sell bags, chairs, curtains, and everything, it will cost a lot to register the trademark. You have to pay for bags, chairs, and curtains three times when you register the brand. So I registered my brand as 35 types.

상표등록을 할 때 만약 의자만 판다면 의자류를 설정을 해야할것이고 가방을 판다면 가방류를 설정해야 해요. 한 류당 상표등록 비용을 내야 해요. 각각 등록이 되는 거예요. 하지만 만약에 가방도 팔고 의자도 팔고 커튼도 팔고 이것저것 다 판다면 상표등록 비용이 많이 들 거예요. 가방, 의자, 커튼만 해도 상표 등록할 때 비용을 세 번 내야 하니 말이에요. 그래서 저는 35류로 상표등록을 했어요.

I can set "a designated product" on my brand as 35 types. If I set a designated product, I can have trademark rights only for the product group that set the designated product.

35류로 하고 지정상품을 설정하면 지정상품을 설정한 제품군에 한해서 상표권을 가질 수 있어요.

Designated products: Blanket, chair, laundry dryer, slippers, umbrella, etc.

I can have trademark rights for the above designated products. I can set up 20 designated products, and if I add more, there will be an additional cost. When I chose a designated product, I informed the patent office of 20 to 30 products, considering the products that I think will be sold on an online shopping site later. And the patent office added what my brand needed and sorted it out to 20.

지정상품들: 담요, 의자, 빨래건조대, 슬리퍼, 우산 등등

저는 위의 지정상품들에 대해서 상표권을 가질 수 있어요. 지정상품 설정은 20개가 가능하고 더 추가할 경우 추가 비용이 들어요. 저는 지정상품을 고를 때 나중에 온라인에서 팔 것 같은 제품들을 생각해서 20~30개의 제품을 특허사무소에 알려줬어요. 그리고 특허사무소에서 필요한 것을 추가하고 20개로 추려줬어요. 

If there is no food in the designated product, I am not protected by the AABBCC trademark. In other words, there is no problem if someone else names and sells "AABBCC Rice." In order to have trademark rights on rice, you need to add designated products as rice type. You can delete designated products.

만약 지정상품에 음식이 없다면 저는 음식에 대해서 AABBCC 상표의 보호를 받지 못해요. 즉 다른 사람이 "AABBCC 쌀"이라고 상품명을 짓고 팔아도 문제가 없어요. 쌀에 대해서 상표권을 가지려면 쌀류로 지정상품을 추가해야 해요. 지정상품은 삭제도 가능해요.

It's a picture of the bill for trademark registration. The above cost is the trademark application fee and there is a trademark registration fee when registering. The cost of trademark registration is $90 more than the application cost. At first, I was going to register the trademark as "브리즈스틴", but someone else already applied for the trademark as "브리즈스톤", so I registered the trademark under a different name.

청구서 사진이에요. 위의 비용은 상표 출원 비용이고 등록할 때 또 상표등록비용이 들어요. 상표등록 비용은 출원 비용보다 10만 원 이상 더 나가요. 처음에는 "브리즈스틴"으로 상표등록을 하려고 했는데 "브리즈스톤"으로 이미 다른 사람이 상표출원을 해서 다른 이름으로 상표등록을 했어요.

I registered a trademark at the patent office in my area. I was going to visit the office in person and register the trademark, but they said I could do it by phone or text, so I registered the trademark without visiting. So it doesn't seem necessary to select a patent office near my house.

저는 제가 사는 지역의 특허사무소에서 했어요. 사무실에 직접 방문해서 상표등록을 하려고 했는데 그냥 전화랑 문자로도 충분히 할 수 있다고 해서 방문 없이 상표등록을 했어요. 그래서 굳이 집 근처 특허사무소를 선정할 필요는 없어 보여요.
